종영을 앞둔 tvN 수목드라마 '매니'(극본 성민지 박재현 연출 이용해)가 독특한 소재와 막장 없는 '착한 드라마'로 주목받고 있다.

'매니'는 남자 보모라는 참신한 캐릭터를 중심으로 따뜻한 가족애를 풀어내며 차별화된 재미를 선사했다. 아이들의 이야기가 내용의 주요한 축으로 자리잡고 여기에 어른들의 사랑이 더해져 가족의 유대감을 지키는 선을 명확하게 지킬 수 있었던 것. 이는 다수의 드라마가 막장코드와 선정성을 더해가고 있는 것과는 상반된 모습이다.
The focus on the fresh character as a male nanny for a warm family has presented a different fun. Moreover, the main theme of the protection and bonding between the adults and the children in families are clearly maintained. 주인공 김이한(서지석 분)은 요리, 운동, 놀이치료, 의학에까지 방대한 지식을 자랑하는 최고의 육아전문가로 우연한 기회로 서울에 사는 싱글맘 서도영(최정윤 분)의 집에 머무르면서 아이들을 돌보게 된다. 그는 아동 우울증, 소아 몽유증, 왕따 등 아이들에게 일어나는 문제를 슈퍼맨처럼 해결하며 시원한 즐거움을 선사했다.
The main male character Kim Yi-Han (played by Suh Ji Suk) is the best and proud childcare expert who has extensive knowledge of cooking, sports, physical therapy, medicine, etc. He unexpectedly stays in the single mother Suh Do-Young’s home to take care of her children. He is like a superman who can joyfully resolve many problems such as children's depression (아동 우울증) and child sleepwalking (소아 몽유증).
한편, 서지석과 삼각 로맨스를 펼친 최정윤, 변정수는 자신의 감정에 충실하면서도 가족을 먼저 생각하는 '착한 사랑'으로 눈길을 끌었다. 모델 출신의 사업가 제니스(변정수 분)는 까칠하고 도도한 골드미스 캐릭터지만, 동생을 위해 이한에 대한 감정을 정리하고 든든한 후견인이 된다. 도영(최정윤 분)은 새롭게 시작되는 사랑에 설레는 가운데에도 두 아이의 마음을 가장 먼저 생각하며 가족의 행복을 지켜나간다.
Additionally, Suh Ji Suk’s role shows his honest sentiment in the triangle love relationships among Janice (played by Byun Jung Soo), Do-Young (played by Choi Jung Yoon), and himself. His role attracts people’s attentions as a ‘Kind and Nice Person (착한 사랑)’ in consideration of the family. Even though Janice is arrogant, she, as a guardian, supports her younger sister’s true love with Yi-Han. '매니'의 아역 배우들은 성인 연기자 못지 않은 호연으로 잔잔한 감동을 전한다. 부모의 이혼으로 상처를 받은 은비(정다빈 분)와 정민(구승현 분) 남매는 매니 이한을 만나며 밝고 건강한 성격으로 성장해간다. 어머니에게 자신들의 친부 이외에 사랑하는 사람이 생겼다는 사실을 알고 충격과 고민에 빠지지만, 그것을 계기로 한 단계 성숙하는 모습을 보여줄 예정.
The young actors and actress of ‘MANNY’ deliver magnificent and quiet impressions as adult actors and actresses. Eun-Bi (played by Jung Da-Bin), who was hurt by her parants’ divorce as well as her younger brother Jung-Min (played by Goo Seung Hyun) have matured to brighter and healthier personalities after they met Yi-Han. Although they are greatly shocked and worried about the man, other than their father, with whom their mother is currently falling in love, it becomes an good opportunity for them to mature.
2일 방송되는 마지막회의 열쇠 역시 두 명의 아역배우가 쥐게 될 전망이다. 어머니와 매니가 사랑하는 사이라는 것을 알게 된 은비는 동생 정민을 데리고 가출을 하고, 애가 타는 도영은 발만 동동 구른다. 이한은 특유의 분석력으로 은비가 있는 곳을 찾아가 은비에게 마지막 제안을 하게 된다고.
The last episode aired on 6/2 is a key for the prospect of the two children. After Eun-Bi learned that her mother is dating their Manny, she brings Jung-Min to run away from home, which makes Do-Young run around to find them. Based on his special analysis ability, Yi-Han finds Eun-Bi and gives his final suggestion.
한편 tvN 공식 트위터에서 진행된 서지석•최정윤 커플 탄생에 대한 찬반투표는 찬성 66%의 결과를 맺었다. 시청자 게시판 역시 두 주인공이 해피엔딩을 응원하는 메시지가 이어지고 있다.
